Authors Asia was established as an independent civil society guild uniting novelists, poets, essayists, translators, and independent publishers across Asia. It exists to dismantle the historical barriers that prevent Asian writers from communicating directly across linguistic and national borders.
Independent Civil Society Character
Authors Asia operates as an independent, non-governmental association. It does not act as a state censor, state publisher, or regulatory licensing body. It functions purely as a peer-led cultural platform championing freedom of literary expression, cultural pluralism, and intellectual integrity.
